To be effective and sustainable, these core interventions must be supported by partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels; such as between:

• Departments of Education and Health
• Teachers and health workers
• Partnerships with the local community (e.g. PTAs , Water and Sanitation committees, Women's groups etc.
• Fully engaged students, who understand and contribute to the programme.
