Notes

So to summarise: school based deworming programmes
can improve the health and educational outcomes of children,
are highly cost effective, costing as little as $0.2 per child for treatment of schistosomiais with praziquantel, and $0.02 for treatment of soil-transmiited helminths with albendazole.
BUT these programmes are most effective when supported by additional strategies, especially SSHE programmes, which are essential to help prevent re-infection.
