Notes

FRESH was launched in 2000, at the EFA forum in Dakar, Senegal. The FRESH Partnership was formed by a collaboration of leading agencies and organisations in the field of school health and nutrition, drawing upon their experiences of best practises in this field.
FRESH (Focusing Resources on Effective School Health) is an interagency initiative developed by WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO and the World Bank, but which now also incorporates the experience and expertise of numerous other agencies and organisations, including PCD. FRESH provides a framework for the design and implementation of school health and nutrition programmes that have now been adopted in many countries of Africa, Asia and South America.
