Aim: Developed new tests to measure children's learning potential - not what they can do now, but what they might be able to do in the future.
Results: Treatment for worms doesn't necessarily make you cleverer, but it does improve a child's ability to learn. As you can see from the new dynamic tests, over time with continued education, the children in the treatment group's ability to learn improved.
THUS to fully exploit the beneficial effect of deworming these children need to be kept in school and their education continued.
