Definition of Blindness

A person is considered legally blind when the best-corrected visual acuity is 3/60 or less, or the visual field is 20o or less.4

WHO definition of blindness: presenting distance visual acuity ɛ/60 in the better eye.

Current refractive status of the individual is involved in WHO definition of blindness. 5
