R E I M S..(RICHMOND EYEGLASS INVENTORY MATCHING SYSTEM).SKIP CHARLES AND DR PHIL RICHMOND

At first by gender, add, right-eye sphere and cylinder. Finding glasses proved to be time-consuming and difficult.

For ease a program giving each a number.

Looks for the best match considering spherical equivalents and axis tolerances, which depend on cylinder.

Notes

SLIDE SIX REIMS (RICHMOND EYEGLASS INVENTORY SYSTEM)
Traditionally, we have stored recycled eyeglasses as single vision, bifocal, gender, plus or minus, right-eye sphere, cylinder, and bifocal add. Finding eyeglasses stored in this manner is time-consuming and leads to error.
Skip Charles, a humanitarian, computer whiz, and the late optometrist Dr. Philip Richmond (past president of VOSH-NECO) developed a software program that makes dispensing of eyeglasses efficient.
REIMS is a software program that inventories eyeglasses by giving each a unique number. The program quickly finds the best matching prescription considering spherical equivalents and axis tolerances.
It is as though Phil is sitting on your shoulder and helping you choose. The program in use by several VOSH chapters is available free of charge by contacting Skip Charles
