Slide 16 An advocate of meetings that lead to partnership
An important component of Vision 2020 is forming partnerships, sharing ideas and networking. Attending conferences of this type are invaluable. With gratitude, I attended the UNESCO meeting in Barcelona, June 2003. VOSH gained from four friendships.
1. With Michael Brennan from the American Academy of Ophthalmology which led to a partnership with S.E.E., Surgical Eye Expeditions,
2. With Dan Sheni reinforcing a stronger relationship with the WCO,
3. With Jerry Vincent from Thailand who joined VOSH and is planning to start a chapter
4. With Josh Silver who spoke at the VOSH/International meeting and an invitation to come to Oxford.
